The term "web design" is normally used to describe the design process relating to the front-end (client side) design of a website including writing markup.

Web design partially overlaps web engineering in the broader scope of web development. Web designers are expected to have an awareness of usability and be up to date with web accessibility guidelines.

UX and UI design

User experience design (UX design, UXD, UED, or XD) is the process of defining the experience a user would go through when interacting with a digital product or website.

Design decisions in UX design are often driven by research, data analysis, and test results rather than aesthetic preferences and opinions.

Unlike user interface design, which focuses solely on the design of a computer interface, UX design encompasses all aspects of a user's perceived experience with a product or website. Such as:

User interfaces are the points of interaction between users and designs. There are three types:

Compared to UX design, UI design is more about the surface and overall look of a design. User interface design is a craft in which designers, perform an important function in creating the user experience.

It is a functional design interface bridging the gap between users and the product in an attractive and intuitive way.
